spencers birthday (I am a little late posting)

Spencers birthday was in August. Yes I am a little late. We downloaded pictures of his birthday and Aaron's and I can't seem to find them. Anyways
He turned 12 this year and was so excited to be turning 12. That meant a whole lot more fun for him. Mutual, passing the sacrament and many other fun things. Over night he grew up. I remember spencer as a baby. He was so good and happy and chuncky. He spit up a TON!!!! And usually all over me, but he was so good. Cameron looked at him as a play toy and was a little rough on him. I am sure that is why Spencer has such a calm presence about him (thank you cameron). Cameron just wanted a brother to play with. I joke with cameron and spencer about cameron pushing spencer out of the way in heaven. Cameron wanted to come first and spencer probably said "o.k. cameron you go first and I will wait." Spencer was such a good sport when cameron through a ball at his head or carried him by the arm to the other side of the room or sat on his head or pulled his hair (the little bit he had). I had to take spencer into the bathroom with me while I was in the shower because cameron was so rough with him. He would just sit in the car seat waiting patiently for me to get out. He is such a sweet and caring kid. He is so sensitive. When there is an arguement or disagreement with one of his siblings and myself, Spencer is the one that slides out of the room real quietly. He does not like competition or confrontation. He is for the underdog and always has been. He is a great babysitter. He is a likeable kid. Little kids glob onto him. He is helpful (when he wants to be). He also is one of my most stubborn kids. He is like pushing a block wall. He doesn't budge for nothing! I love spencer, he is such a great kid and I am greatful that he came to our family. He is currently in Cross country and loves it. Like I said he does not like competition. His competition is himself. He has not come in first or second or even third, but he is trying his hardest and that is all HE cares about. That makes me happy as his mom. He is a good natured kid and always has been and I hope that he stays like that. He always brings calmness to our much needed LOUD house, thank you spencer! LOve you spence.

Lost then Found

Yesterday, Payton was upstairs messing around in spencer's room hitting his head on the mattress. Apparently he wanted to see how far he could push the mattress with his head. That's Payton for you, anything but doing his jobs. Anyways, he saw a shiny thing and thought it was a sequence and then realized it was MY DIAMOND!!!!! He came down sooooo excited that he had found my diamond. It was underneath Spencers mattress. I couldn't believe it. And it figures that it was our little gemologist, Payton. I think he will probably find the next hope diamond. He can find treasures just about anywhere. THANKYOU PAYTON! Now to fix it. My ring is a little bent and out of shape. I'm am so happy it has been found. Answered prayers. If that is not an answer to many prayers I don't know what is. It will be a great family home evening. He surely does not answer our prayers on our time but on his.

LOST

This past monday was a bit of a stressful night. The whole month of October has been stressful. It is a month I do not want to repeat anytime soon.\
Mady came in the house and asked if she could go to her new friends house, which I quickly said "NO." Mady makes lots of friends and I had no idea who this new friend was where she lived or anything about her parents. so I got on the phone to check on a friend who had recently had back surgery. 35 minutes later I got off the phone and went outside to get the kids. At this point it was time to come in. The sun was going down and we were going to go to a park to exercise. So I started calling for Mady and no response. I didn't see her at the park. Cameron and spencer looked upstairs and in the back yard and no Mady. I sent them to a couple of neighbors houses to check to see if she was there. NO Mady! So at this point I started getting a little worried and got into my car and started looking through the neighborhood, with no luck. The boys got on there bikes and started searching. About 15 to 20 minutes into this I started to panick and get very sick to my stomach. I came in the house and called Anthony and Jessica. Both were on there way to help look for Mady. I called the police and in a matter of a couple of minutes they had 7 officers circle the area around my house. I gave a description and they asked me to print up a picture of Mady. I started really getting sick to my stomach at that point. As the mom I started thinking of some terrible things and panicking. My neighbor behind us had also been on his bike looking and was in the house with me while I was on the phone. He was trying to calm me down. A couple minutes later Payton walked in and announced that he had found Mady. And there she was. I wanted to spank her bottom for doing that but was so happy to see her I started crying more. I called the police back and let them know she was here and an officer showed up to talk to mady. Which I appreciated greatly. He told my kids everything that I tell them constantly. Like when the sun goes down you come in the house, or don't leave your sister out there by herself. All Mady said was, and through her tears, (she was so scared I could see her legs shaking through her pants) "I don't want to be arrested!" The officer said he wasn't going to do that, but that she really needed to listen to her mom and be more obedient. Needless to say the child has been on house arrest for the week, and maybe for her LIFE!!!!! We will see about that last part. What a sickening experience. That was a terrible feeling. One of the worst I have had. So, like I said in the beginning, I will be so glad when October is over. I have had more stress this month than one person can handle. All done!!

October- kidney stone, and help

What a month October has been. I will start at the beginning. It was the Friday before conference and I woke up to serious pain in my kidney, for the 9th time in 13 months. I knew it was a kidney stone again. I was up at 3 in the morning trying to relieve pain. I came down stairs so I wouldn't wake up my lovey and took my usual pain medication. When Anthony did wake up I told him that if this happens again I would like him to just take me to the emergency room. This, because for the last 13 months I have had this pain 9 times. I knew that it was a kidney stone. I had had a CT scan, blood work and countless urine tests and blood work done and still the same response was "Mrs. Jeffers, we can't find a stone you must just have an infection." With lots of frustration that is why I decided to go to the emergency room. I figured that someone elses perspective might be a good thing. So Sunday came around and when President Monson was giving his closing remarks the pain started again. I told Anthony " let's go now!" I called my mom and she was quickly on her way to pick up my kids and take them to her house. It seemed like forever to get to the emergency room. I had taken vicaden before I left and that was easing the pain somewhat. It took about 15 minutes to check me in and hook me up. They gave me Morphine and Toridol (sp). And the pain started to subside. At that point they could take me in and do another CT scan. About 15 or so minutes later the physician came in to tell me that he had found a 9.9 1/2 mm kidney stone. It was not going to budge being that size, so they needed to admit me to the hospital. So an ambulance ride later we were checked into the hospital. They had originally told me that they would do surgery on Monday and get the thing out, but when they did the urine test on me they had found that I had way too much bacteria and infection in me and that they had to pump me full of antibiotics before they did surgery. Tuesday came and they finally took it out. They lasered it and put a stint in. The day after surgery I started having a great deal of pain and pain medicine was not doing anything to help the pain. Anthony gave me a blessing. My mom and him didn't know what to do, but I sure appreciated the amount of caring and love that they had showed me through this whole thing. Thursday was also a painful day. During all this we had called the uriologist to see if something could be done and he didn't seem all that phased. Well, The following week on Thursday (I was counting down to this day) I went in to have the stint removed and the first words out of the Dr. mouth was "Um, where is the stint?" He asked me if I had done anything strenuous and I wanted to punch him at that point. He then told me, that the stint had migrated into my bladder and that that would cause a great deal of pain. Now I really wanted to pluck his nose hairs out!!!!! When he was done I stood up and any and all pain was completely gone! It was amazing and madening all at the same time.
I am really thankful for all those people that helped out especially my mom and lovey. They both were frustrated as they watched me be in pain and had no idea what to do. Anthony took off the week and took care of the home and kids as well as still going to school and working from home. He was very happy to go back to work the following week. My mom came and brought dinner, bathed kids, took them to her house, helped with homework, and was just a great help. Jodi had run to the store to pick up milk. My dad drove all the way over to drop off a massage pad for me to help aleviate the pain in my kidney. People in the ward had brought some dinners for us. And Jessica in the last year when I had this pain off and on was there to also help with whatever I needed. I am thankful for great people in my life. I am not one that likes to take help or even ask for it, but in the last year I have had to ask for help on many occasions. Thank you to all those that have helped me and my family out. I appreciate all the love and support that you have given me. If I forgot anyone I also thank you very much!
I will be so glad when October is over. It has been one stressful month.

San Diego with mom and dad

This past weekend we went to San Diego with my mom and dad. Anthony had set this up and truth be known I wasn't sure we were going to be able to go. With his schedule I didn't plan on it until a couple days before. Anthony has a friend with a fishing boat and a condo in Mission bay. The condo was quite nice. It was close to the beach, which we didn't go to. We were busy doing other things. So we left thursday mid-morning and got there around 5:00. anthony and my dad had to go buy their fishing license for the next day, so we dropped off our things at the condo and headed to the shop to get the licenses. After that we found a great restaurant that was right off the water and next to the kitty hawk. There were 2 restaurants, the one on top was a little too upscale for us so we headed downstairs to the one that was more our style. The fish was really good and I am not a fan of fish unless it is FRESH!!! We then walked over to the kitty hawk, which is so huge up close! We didn't tour it but decided that that would be a great place to take our kids. We'll be back to do that. We headed over to Coronado island to get some ice cream. That was nice. It was so nice to be outside and feel the coolness of the air. something that I haven't done in Arizona in a long time! We ate ice cream and headed back to the condo. We were all tired and knew the morning was going to come soon. The boys got up at 4:30 a.m. and we dropped them off at the marina. Mom and I headed back to the condo and went back to bed until 9:30. We got up had a yummy breakfast and headed to old town San Diego. I love that place. They just have the best shops. we then headed over to pick up Anthony and Dad. They didn't catch anything. Well the story actually goes like this. My dad caught something and when it got up to the side of the boat the line snapped. It was "the one that got away". They were hungry so went and ate at hodads. It's a hole in the wall restaurant that was featured on "dinners, drive-ins, and dives." I think it would classify as a DIVE!!! If you go don't mind the people serving you with nose rings and tattoos all over them. I felt like I needed to use some serious sanitizer!!!!!! The hamburgers were HUGE!!! It was good. The malts are so good and the frings! It was all good they just needed to sanitize some things, namely everything! We went back to the condo and hung out the rest of the night. The next morning we got up packed it up and headed for down town San Diego. We did some more shops and found a great hat shop. I will post some pictures. It was fun to go do a trip with my parents and it was nice to have a break from kids. Thank you to all those that watched my kids. I outsourced all my kids. It was a major undertaking trying to find 4 people that would watch my kids for 3 days. But I have great friends and family that took them. I appreciate everyones help.
Notice the womens hat on my dads head. I don't think the shop owners thought we were being all that funny. The hat on my head was $130.00. I really don't think they thought we were funny. Oh WEll!!!! we had fun.

My diamond is gone!

So.... last saturday Cameron and I got a bee in our bonet and started to move rooms around. We moved Payton and aaron to the loft, Spencer out of Cameron's room and into Payton and Aaron's room. We moved three beds and cleaned as we moved. It was a long day of cleaning and moving. So, Lovey thought it would be a good idea to just go get pizza so that I wouldn't have to cook. We all sat down to eat and we started to talk about christmas. The kids asked me what I wanted for christmas and I told them I only wanted 1 thing for christmas. Lovey asked "so love what's the one thing." so I looked down at my ring and to my shock my diamond was gone. GONE, GONE, GONE! I immediately thought of the day and all the moving and started to cry. All the kids got up and immediately started looking everywhere that we had been. I was also looking and crying. My love went and got the vaccuum and cut open the disgusting bag and started digging through all the junk in the bag, and there was a LOT!If you have ever opened a vaccuum bag, it will make you want to throw up. I was dry heaving. With every clump he took, he mooshed it between his fingers looking for my diamond. I knew then that he really loved me and that he really felt bad for me. Needless to say it wasn't found. I look for it everyday in hopes that I will find it. My kids keep praying that we will find it. I have to say, it was shocking to look down and see that it was gone. I think that, that is one of a married womens fears is to look down and realize your diamond is gone!

Rainy day fun!

It finally rained here in NASTY HOT ARIZONA!!! It started at about 5:00 this morning. I got up to do my usual bathroom run and got back in bed. I turned to lovey and said "look lovey the sun isn't up,which means winter is coming." Lovey got up and looked out the window and said "No, it's just overcast." He totally ruined my excitement at 5:00 in the morning. Then is started raining! I got up around 8:30 and came down stairs to it dumping outside. It was coming down pretty hard. All the kids wanted so badly to go outside to play in the rain. Lovey and I kept saying, No that they would end up getting electrocuted. Lovey was more persistant than I was. He is very much a no water person when it's raining! So I got on the phone with friend for a while and went in the living room to see what was going on and the front door was left open and they- Lovey,Cameron,spencer,payton,Aaron, and Mady were all playing in the rain. The Road outside our house was flooded and the retention basin looked like a swimming pool. I quickly grabbed my camera and clicked some shots of "The Kids", including Lovey, playing in the rain.
So much for electrocution!!!!!!
Cameron had already come in the house to take a shower, so I didn't get any pictures of him. But he played in the rain. He just doesn't like being wet for too long.
