This is a more personal blog. Please don't read this and think I am complaining, because if you do think that then exit now! I blog for me. And sometimes it's a lot easier writing it here than in my journal.
Today has been a hard day. Actually this week has been a little rough. My kidney's have been acting up again. I am very fearful that I have another kidney stone lurking in there and the dr. won't listen to me. An appointment on Monday revealed that I had a lot of blood in my urine and bacteria, which means the possible beginning of a new stone. The fear that came over me was tremendous. Some of you may not know, but last october my lovey rushed me to the emergency room for a very large kidney stone. One that I had been complaining about for a good year. I had 2 ct scans and countless blood work and urine tests done. They just kept putting me on bactrim ( a heavy duty antibiotic). Still I had pain about once a month. It was the stone trying to pass. So in the emergency room they finally found it. It was 10mm and would not pass on it's own. So I sat in the hospital for 2 1/2 days waiting for them to pump me full of anitbiotics and junk so that they could blast the sucker out of me. The after effects were worse than the stone itself. It was a painful recovery and my mom and Anthony had no idea how to help me. So you can understand my fear that I have with this pain all over again. I am very frustrated with my health and feel that this has been a long trial. I am going on 5 years and ask heavenly father frequently what he wants me to learn from this. I still have yet to get an answer. Living with pain everyday is a hard thing. On top of all this I have degenerative disk disease which is quite painful at times. I feel that I handle the pain pretty good, although if you ask my kids and lovey they would probably tell you that I am pretty grouchy when I am in pain. So the next thing is my skin. As many of you know I had melanoma 4 years ago. It was pretty scarey to say the least! About a week ago I went in to do my 6 month check up and the dr. did a biopsy on a mole/freckle I had on my left thigh. I got the results back today. The cells have changed which means it has a likely hood of being melanoma again if we don't get it off now!!! So I go in June 24th to have it taken off. They will make somewhat of the same incision that I have on my forearm. It's a pretty good size incision. As the dr. described it, " we almost had to amputate your arm", she says this kiddingly. I am scared and tired of health issues. It's a hard trial to face at such a young age. I am frustrated and tired of pain and this sucks sometimes, but I know at some point it will end and that I am thankful for. For now I am just trying to figure out what heavenly father wants me to learn.

Fun with jake!
taking a breather

Cameron getting ready to loose

Jake looks like he's loosing here

someone is loosing in this round

Jake and cameron wrestling or playing "tap out"

I told you I was playing catchup on all of my blogging. Some of these happened a little bit ago.
Jake Smith came for Utah's spring break. They came in april. Cameron was so excited that he was coming. It reminded me of when our family would go to Utah for 4th of July. We did that, it seemed every summer. And it was something we all looked forward too. It was so much fun hanging out with cousins and just being goofy and sometimes gross! Jake's family came in april and were here for the week. Cameron and Jake spent as much time as they could together. It was a little hard because cameron was in school. And when you miss school at his school it's like missing an entire month. They wrestled, and swam, played baseball and hung out!
I am glad that my kids have had cousins so close that they can do things with them. It's fun to see. I am still very close with my cousin Jessica or Friend! We have tons of fun together and sometimes a little too much. So I am glad that my kids have cousins close to them. It makes for great memories! I have a lot of great memories with cousins.
Alright so I have to tell some of the things we did with cousins. We would always go to Utah for the 4th of July. Brendan and Jessica, lezlie, Jodi and me would see each other and instantly pick up where we stopped the year prior. It was sooooo much fun. I remember going to Yellowstone national park with them. We made booger bars (don't ask it's nasty), flung poo at each (another don't ask). We made forts this one time out of boxes and Jessica got ticked off at Brendan because he stole a marker of hers so she jumped out of her box and jumped on Brendan and JOdi's box and it was WAR!!!!! In the end both boxes or forts were ruined and we were busted! We went to lagoon and water parks we would watch the stadium of fire at tempview. It was such a great time. I have fond memories and so with that I hope that my kids will remember the fun times with cousins.
Me and friend still have fun! We do Taco Tuesday at filibertos every tuesday. We do girls night out when we can get away from life and busy schedules. We hit costco together and shop together (which probably isn't a good idea) we go to IKEA and try on baskets (I swear I thought it was a hat friend!!!) on our heads that is. We just have a great time. We laugh at dumb things, and really some of the things are goofy. I am glad that my parents took us every year to Utah so that I could have a best friend like friend. Cousins are awesome. And I am thankful for them. All of them.

aaron and pinewood derby

Aaron's pinewood derby was in January this year. It was kind of early. So most of you know that anthony has been in school and did not have time in December to build a car. Here is where you will laugh or get sick. There are a couple of guys in our ward that buy their cars at pinewood derby shops. Well, lovey decided to do the same thing. He bought aaron this beauty! All the pieces were in the box all they had to do was paint it and put the metal on it to weigh it down. Now just for information only, the cars that you buy are not cheap. Anthony spent an amount on this car that totally cut into my shoe budget! He called to tell me the price on another car and I just about passed out. FOR HEAVENS SAKE, IT'S A DANG PINEWOOD DERBY CAR!!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!! So then he told me the price of aaron's car and I just had to let that one go. He payed for time. I am not going to let you know how much he payed, I will just put down that he payed between $40-$90 for the car. I know ridiculous!! aaron came in 2nd in most of the races and 1st on one. I guess it was worth it. He thought it was a pretty cool car, and I guess that is all that matters. I was very sad that my shoe budget was blown for that month (just kidding)!
gila valley temple

We were able to go do the open house at the Gila valley temple. It was quite a pretty temple. It looked like an arizona temple. It was built in and around the farming communities there. In fact right behind the temple was a hay barn and guy plowing his field. Me and anthony were commenting on that. It was a small temple but quite pretty. My kids were amazed at how big the chandelier was in the celestial room. It was quite large, but beautiful. We were able to go with my mom and dad and Jodi. We droved up saw it and came back home. It was a quick trip but well worth it. it was a great experience for my kids. They will now get to see the dedication this sunday which will be wonderful for them. What a great experience for them to have.
HEyyyyy mr. fonzerelli!

Last night at mutual they had a dancing through the decades. Spencer decided to get into it and dressed like he was from the 50's. He looked pretty cute. Cameron didn't want anything to do with it. Apparently he was too cool for the activity, actually it looked like spencer was to cool for it also. He had lots of fun. I love that he still likes being goofy and doing this sort of thing. He is still a kid!
check out his hair. He slicked it back with lots of gel. He also had a comb in his rolled sleeve.
aaron and the wolf badge!

Last night Aaron received his wolf badge, 3 arrow points and 4 belt looops! He has done great in scouting. I am happy he likes scouting. In this family ya sorta need to like it whether you want to or not! Our ward does this fun thing when the boys get their wolf badge they have to dig through this pie tin filled with whipping cream to find the badge (it of course is in a plastic baggie). He got into it. He dove right into the cream. I think he likes whipping cream! Good to know. I'll hide it in my fridge. Anyways he was quite proud of himself for getting all of his awards. Now off to the bears. He has already asked when he get's to start the bear book. Yahoooo for aaron.
spencer and cross country

I feel like I am playing catchup with this blogging thing. Spencer ran cross country again this year. The season was from September-December. He did great this past season. He was not last but he was not first he was right in the middle. This is great with spencer. I keep telling him, "slow and steady wins the race!" Last year he was coming in the back of the pack every time and this year he beat his personal best. He was in the middle of the pack. There was a couple things that I observed at his races. There was a couple of kids on his team that needed a little extra help towards the finish line and spencer would stay back encouraging them. I know this because at his races I would run and be at certain points of the races to cheer him on. So at these 2 races he didn't see me standing there but I saw my son. And what an example to me that kid of mine is. He was telling the kid "you can do it go, go ahead you can do it. take a big breath, breathe through your nose (which i tell him all the time, pure oxygen when you are running). He encouraged these boys. It was amazing to watch. One paticular race he was running and looked back to see a kid from the other team had fallen and everyone else was running by this kid, spencer turned around and went and helped the kid up. The kid of course took off running. Spencer didn't care, he just was there to help the kid. I was amazed!!! I am proud to be his mom and love seeing this caring side of him. He has always been for the underdog. He is a great kid. I am so happy that he succeeded in cross country this year. He is going to do it again next year! I told him, you will be at the front of the pack. He said "I don't care mom." Love that kid!

camerons drawings
This is the drawing he drew in church, because he was bored!
This is the drawing that will be shown _>
I am a little proud of cameron right now. He got picked to show case one of his drawings at his 8th grade promotion. We are going to go get it framed. The teacher only picked a select few. He is such a great drawer. He has an incredible talent to draw and has been told that from last years teacher and this years. I put some of his favorites on here. Enjoy! There is some serious detail in the transformer ones. The yellow one took 14 hours to draw. A lot of time went into it.

cameron got his braces off
fun times
So we have been trying something new as a family. We try to stump lovey. Here's how this game works. Lovey is like a juke box. The boy knows just about every song ever made. He can guess a song the first 4-5 notes it's played. So we hang out around the computer and start playing songs for lovey. Well this one night we started getting into it with dancing. Here are a few pictures of that. Spencer entertained us with his dance to "boogie shoes". Cracked me up. He looked like napolean dynamite. We had lots of fun.I have tried 3 times to download the video and it won't let me. Sorry.
am I getting shorter or are my kids growing

I feel like I am short for the first time in my life. I have always been tall, but here recently I am starting to feel rather short. Cameron is not longer at eye level. Spencer is almost at my eye level. I feel when they get to this stage that time is going by too fast. Lovey and I were talking a little bit ago how fast this time has gone and that cameron will be gone in 4 years. It was like a ton of bricks hit me right then. The next 4 years will go by so fast. I am sadened and happy all at the same time. They are starting new phases of life. Cameron is entering into high school this year and that scares the crud out of me. I would like to keep him here at home with me. Spencer will be graduating from jr. high next year and payton soon after. I am just going to have to stunt aaron and mady's growth some how. Time flies. Life is so short. Enjoy it while you've got it. I also have to say that I am very thankful that heavenly father has given me and lovey the blessing of raising 4 rowdy, rambunctious, goodlooking boys and a beautiful, happy girl (poor thing). I will get the opportunity to send out 4 missionaries. What a huge responsibility and great blessing. I am thankful for my 5 blessings well 6 if you count lovey, and he is a huge blessing. I love them all.
spring break
Cameron tired from mountain man rendezvous

I am a little behind on blogging and I know this was back in march, but it's my blog and I can blog when I want to. So here goes.
Spring happens around here in March. My kids got out the middle of march and had a week off. It was great weather. Cameron went on the mountain man rendezvous. He had so much fun. Before it, he had been working on a knife. They get the opportunity to pick a knife and make it themselves. So he had been working on it for a good month or so. It was a great experience for him. He came home exhausted and stinky. He said it was well worth it. Spencer did a campout also on that week. So payton, aaron and mady were left to their own devices. They so badly wanted to go to the swimming pool, but the pool was closed for renovation. So we went to our local walmart and bought a blow up pool and bubbles. It kept them entertained for a couple of hours. They had a ton of fun and the best part was they weren't driving me crazy!!! You gotta love those school breaks.
