Anthony and I went to Lowes a couple of nights ago to get odd and end things. One of them happened to be a duster so that I could reach high for cob webs and clean the curtains and all that other cleaning junk! So I brought it home and I was actually excited to try it out. I proceeded to clean some of the cob webs out of the corners and the dust off my curtains. It worked. It was great. So I turned around and was messing with the kids with it and Aaron screamed his head off. It scared the crud out of him. I figure my kids need a little teasing now and then so I proceeded to chase him with the duster. Not really chaseing because it had an extention on it. So he was on one side of the table and I was on the other and he had this look like Ha Ha Ha you can't get me. I thought Ha Ha Ha, oh yes I can. I extended the rod and he ran up the stairs screaming his head off. Well after all that it was time for bed and I told them you have 2 minutes to get in bed, no talking, no more drinks and no more potty breaks. So naturally my kids go up and think it's social hour! Aaron starts talking and laughing. So what do you think I did. YES I did, I walked up stairs with my duster and only had to show it to him and all of a sudden he got quiet. I didn't hear a peep out of him! It was wonderful. So the next morning my alarm went off at 6:00 I went in to wake up the kids and Aaron was already up and ready and down stairs. So when I asked why he was up he said "I didn't want the duster on my head!" NOw if you know Aaron I usually have to wake him up for about a 1/2 hour and it is obnoxcious!!!!! Victory. I found something that works!! I only wish I had this Last August at the start of the school year! I will have to show a picture later.

Too Funny,
ReplyDeleteI agree kids need a good teasing from Mom now and then. Especially when you find something like that that really gets em goin'.
I need to find a good way to get Sadie out of bed, waking her up is about a half hour process as well, so I decided to resister her for afternoon Kindergarten to avoid one more year of yucky mornings.
(Toby jumps right out of bed and gets going with me only having to open his blinds and telling him it's time to get up, I'm praying it lasts.)
